I recently put a ridiculous number of books on hold at Library A, a library that kindly informs me of incoming materials via email and on my account page. (Library B does not do this, which is exactly why they are now Library B.) Imagine my delight when I checked my account last night and saw seventeen navy blue "Ys" representing availability!

With the husband in tow to carry my goods, we stopped at the library during our Saturday errands before the Cavs game. I noticed my stash immediately, an intimidating pile of books set aside from the others, waiting for my arrival. (I use the word "intimidating" for everyone else. My adjective of choice would be "stellar.")

The librarian does a few arms stretches and straps on a back belt (okay, not really) to gather my books for the check-out desk. She informs me that because of the number of materials I currently have out, she will have to override the system for me to be able to take my pile home. (Like we are in a space shuttle or something..."override the system...") I am obviously fine with that, and my husband begins loading my tote.

As he tucks the final book into the bag, the librarian informs me that I will not be able to check out any more books, even if my  holds come in. I hope I don't have a "Sophie's Choice" situation upon me.

Guess what I will be spending most of my weekend doing?
It snowed in Ohio today, which just seemed completely ridiculous to me, but we made it through and are looking forward to sunnier days. However, this is not a weather blog, so I will stop there.

I haven't been posting much on the site lately because I have been doing a great deal of research on podcasting. Well, I can't say "a great deal", because truly it has only consisted of reading one lengthy book on the subject while drinking Sierra Mist outside of a Borders, but it is something I really want to get into and something I am super-duper excited about. (super-duper just seems fitting here, BA in English Lit or not)

Being the type A personality that I am, I need to keep reading on the subject and get started on podcast número uno. I don't want to spoil the surprise by telling you anything about it, but obviously, it will be about anything reading-related because that's my gimmic. (Gimmic = problem/addiction) The podcast will coincide with a new, fresh website that directly relates to the podcast material. I feel as though I have gotten my size seven-and-a-halfs wet and am ready to tackle a new project; my husband and I have realized I am even crazier than when I first started Book Addict, so it seems only fitting.  I love the idea of another medium of forcing my love of lit on the world. Or on the 39 people that follow me. (Which reminds me...if you're stopping by the site, please leave a little note in the guestbook...even if it says "U Suck"...just so I know how many people are comin' round. Thanks!

I hope you will all follow me to the dark side, whenever I get there. I'll keep you posted; meanwhile, you just need to sit on the edge of your seats with bated breath, waiting for your book dosage
